Sindhupalchowk, Nepal – A massive wildfire broke out in the forests of Liping, Tatopani, Ward No. 02, Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality, prompting an urgent aerial firefighting operation. Responding swiftly to the emergency, Simrik Air's helicopter, under the command of Captain Siddhartha Jung Gurung, has been actively engaged in controlling the fire.


The fire incident, which occurred on the morning of Magh 20, 2081 (February 2, 2025), posed a potential threat to the under-construction Liping Khola Hydropower Project. To prevent further escalation, Simrik Air deployed its Bambi Bucket System, a specialized aerial firefighting technique designed to combat forest fires effectively.
