Simrik Air is one of the pillars of aerial firefighting skills in Nepal. We will ensure that we save forests, communities, and critical infrastructures against wildfires with fast-response helicopters, skilled workforce, and innovative methods. Fire does not hold--and neither do we.
State-of-the-art Aerial Fire Suppression.
We have acquired reliable equipment, such as the Bambi Bucket system, which allows us to target water drops and cover steep slopes, inaccessible or remote areas.
Our pilots are highly trained and experienced, with experience in high-altitude flights (such as Capt. Siddhartha Jung Gurung), who are vigilant, well-coordinated, and strongly determined towards safety and effectiveness.
We are always ready to respond at short notice- when requested by the authorities or when working with the local government, the forest authorities and communities.
We also work hand-in-hand with the local disaster managers, hydropower facilities, forest service agencies, and local community leaders in planning fire control operations and evacuation, as may be necessary.
In Magh 2024, a forest fire erupted in Liping Khola Hydropower Project in Bhotekoshi Gaunpalika-2. The Bambi Bucket system was used by the Simrik Air Company to make precision water drops using a helicopter piloted by Captain Siddhartha Jung Gurung. The mission was able to save important hydropower facilities and surrounding settlements, such as Liping and Rangwusa a lot of damage.
Simrik Air displayed its level of commitment and agility in the Kavre wildfire, where it was the first to take charge of the wildfire suppression, protecting the forest corridors that were in danger and helping the affected communities. (Details to be filled in.)
