Gorkha, Nepal - Simrik Air has managed to rescue an injured trekker who had fallen victim to a falling rock on his way back to Samagaun in the Manaslu trail in Gorkha.

Local sources indicated that the trekker, who was a 44-year-old resident of Tokha Municipality-6, Kathmandu, was struck by a falling rock on her head as she strolled in the Chumnubri Rural Municipalities-5, Vihi, on her way back down Samagaun. She had severe head wounds, and she was given first aid by the local health workers and inhabitants, where they took refuge in one of the houses nearby.

Although there had been previous efforts to rescue her, the weather had left the helicopter operations out of reach; this was because of the poor weather conditions that had lasted close to 50 hours. After the situation was improved and the security officers contacted the local officials, the security forces, and the Simrik Air personnel, the eventual rescue mission was carried out on Saturday afternoon.

The helicopter of Simrik Air was able to pick up the injured trekker in Gorkha and carry her to Grande International Hospital of Kathmandu to receive further medical attention.

Simrik Air holds strong on its willingness to help in times of need so that the rescue of the people in remote and mountainous Nepal will be timely and safe.
