Kathmandu, Nepal –Simrik Air has once again demonstrated its commitment to national service and community safety by providing free helicopter support to control a wildfire that broke out in the Tarebhir jungle of Gokarneshwor Municipality–3, Suntakhan.

The forest fire started at approximately 9:45 AM on Sunday and posed a serious risk of spreading toward Bagdwar and nearby residential areas. Acting swiftly, Simrik Air deployed its helicopter and conducted 13 consecutive water drops, successfully helping authorities bring the fire under control.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the aerial water operations played a crucial role in preventing the fire from advancing toward vulnerable settlements. The Ministry described Simrik Air’s contribution as significant and highly valuable assistance

Joint Spokesperson Rama Acharya Subedi expressed appreciation for the helicopter service provider’s timely response and support. The Ministry also extended gratitude to security personnel, national park officials, and local residents who actively participated in the firefighting efforts.

Simrik Air provided the service free of charge under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, reinforcing its dedication not only to aviation excellence but also to humanitarian and environmental protection efforts across Nepal.
