Simrik Air Helicopter transported two critically ill COVID-19 positive patients from Pokhara to Kathmandu today amidst adverse weather condition. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ANB with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Surendra Paudel flew to Pokhara with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to receive the 1st patient from Charak Memorial Hospital to Nepal Mediciti Hospital, Kathmandu. Simrik Air’s another H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-AKD with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Bimal Sharma Sapkota along with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team flew to Pokhara to receive the 2nd Covid patient from Mediplus Hospital and Trauma Center to Nepal Mediciti Hospital, Kathmandu. We would like to thank In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Bijay Chaudhary and Paramedic Mr. Dipak Pande from Nepal Mediciti Hospital, who were on board providing critical care for safe transportation of the 1st patient and similarly Dr. Yubraj Basnet and Paramedic Mr. Rajesh Bhandari also from Nepal Mediciti Hospital for offering emergency care on air and safely transferring the 2nd patient. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 200 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
