Simrik Air Helicopter conducted a Relief flight for Solar Lamps distribution today to recently flood-hit Melamchighyang and Bhowasoso. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-AKD with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Rajendra Duwal flew with the relief materials to the areas badly affected by the recent flooding. The relief materials distribution program was conducted by Helambu Education and Livelihood Partnership (HELP) and also funded by MAF. This is under an exemplary project of HELP aimed at distributing 1000 plus solar lights for helping flood victims of Sindhupalchowk light up and connect the cut off villages. A flash flood hit Sindhupalchowk District due to the incessant rain since June 15 which has claimed life of many people; some went missing while the locals have been badly affected by landslides making many displaced.
