On 03rd December 2020, Simrik Air Helicopter airlifted two COVID-19 infected patients from Pokhara to Kathmandu. The First patient was airlifted by Simrik Air's helicopter having a call sign 9N-AJZ with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Hareram Thapa with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) along with a fully equipped medical team and transferred to Sukraraaj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Kathmandu The second patient was airlifted by Simrik Air's helicopter having a call sign 9N-ALP with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Bimal Sharma with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) along with a fully equipped medical team and transferred to Norvic International Hospital, Kathmandu. We would like to thank Dr. Ram Krishna Budhathoki who led the paramedic team with Mr. Saroj Chaudhary in the first mission and Mr. Rajesh Bhandari in the second mission along with Simrik's crew members for successfully completing both the rescue missions with utmost safety and care. Till date, Simrik has airlifted 58 COVID-19 infected patients from Butwal, Lahan, Bharatpur, Biratnagar, Palpa, Birtamod, Jumla, Dharan, Pokhara, Bhadrapur, Dhangadhi, Birgunj, Okhaldhunga, Gaighat, Sauraha (Chitwan), Yalbang (Humla) and Janakpur in its helicopter with pre-hospital care.
