Today, a Simrik Air Helicopter team and an emergency medical team from Bhaktapur International Hospital evacuated a critically ill COVID-19-infected patient from Butwal to Kathmandu. Simrik Air's H125 Airbus Helicopter, call sign 9N-AKD, commanded by Pilot-In-Command Capt. Hareram Thapa, flew from Kathmandu to rescue the patient from Lumbini Zonal Hospital in Butwal to Shree Birendra Hospital (Army Hospital) Chhauni in Kathmandu with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team. We would like to thank the In-Flight Medical Team from Bhaktapur International Hospital, which included Dr. Anil Patel and paramedic Ms. Anisha Kilambhu, for providing critical emergency medical care to the patient on board while adhering to all safety measures. Till date, Simrik Air has successfully evacuated 257 Covid patients to and from various locations in Nepal in its helicopter with a fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital treatment.
