Dr. Eroj Manandhar and Dr. Ranju Tamrakar from Bhaktapur International Hospital provided critical emergency care on air to a gravely injured road traffic accident patient and safely transferred him from Dhangadhi to Kathmandu today by Simrik Air Helicopter. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ANB with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Bimal Sharma Sapkota with a fully equipped medical team airlifted the patient with multi-organ injury and multiple fracture from Nisarga Hospital, Dhangadhi to TU Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu. We would like to thank In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Eroj Manandhar and Dr. Ranju Tamrakar from Bhaktapur International Hospital for offering the emergency medical service in flight, adopting all the safety measures. This critical case of road traffic accident with multiple fracture from 2nd to 8th anterior ribs and 1st rib on the posterior side of the left side of the chest, hemopneumothorax ( air and blood outside the lungs) ,lung injury, splenic injury , hepatic granuloma and fluid around spleen, pelvis and liver was handled carefully by the medical team and was safely transferred to the designated hospital in Kathmandu.
