COVID-19 positive patient transfer from Taplejung to Birtamod was safely conducted today by Simrik Air Helicopter accompanied by the in-flight medical team of Bhaktapur International Hospital. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ALP with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Kushal Gurung flew to District Hospital Taplejung (Fungling) with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to transfer the patient to B &C Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre Pvt. Ltd. – Birtamod. We are thankful to the In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Ranju Tamrakar and Paramedic Ms. Anisha Kilambu from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air and transporting the patients to the designated hospital in Kathmandu. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 220 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
