Committed to saving lives, Simrik Air Helicopter once again succeeded in safely evacuating a seriously ill COVID-19 infected patient from Sankhuwasabha to Kathmandu amidst specialized emergency care by experienced team. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ANB with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Surendra Paudel flew with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to airlift the patient from District Hospital Sankhuwasabha to TIA Domestic Airport, from where he was immediately transferred to Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku, Kathmandu in an ambulance. We are thankful to the In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Abhishek Deo and Paramedic Ms. Kalpana Gurung from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air while transporting the patient to the designated hospital in Kathmandu. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 225 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
