Charak Memorial Hospital, Pokhara received a seriously ill COVID-19 positive patient today airlifted by Simrik Air Helicopter from Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital, Bharatpur. Despite challenging weather condition, Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-AKD with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Rajendra Duwal flew to from Kathmandu to Bharatpur with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to transfer the patient to Pokhara. We would like to thank In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Injmamul  Haque Raque and Paramedic Mr. Bikash Bade from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air and safely transferring the patient to Charak Memorial Hospital, Pokhara. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 215 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
