Bhotekoshi, Magh 18 - A severe wildfire that erupted in the forest area under the Liping Khola Hydropower Project in Bhotekoshi Gaunpalika-2 has been successfully brought under control, thanks to the swift response of Simrik Air’s helicopter employing the "Bambi Bucket" technique.
Upon receiving an urgent request from Bhotekoshi Gaunpalika, Simrik Air deployed its firefighting helicopter, piloted by Captain Siddhartha Jung Gurung. The crew promptly initiated aerial water drops, effectively extinguishing the flames and mitigating the spread of the fire. The wildfire had posed an immediate threat to the vital infrastructure of the hydropower project and nearby settlements, including Liping and Rangwusa.
