With a rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in different parts of the country, yet another COVID-19 infected patient was airlifted to HAMS Hospital, Kathmandu from Bharatpur by Simrik Air Helicopter on 7th November 2020. In need of immediate evacuation, the patient was airlifted in Simrik Air's helicopter having a call sign 9N-ALP with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Ananda Thapa, with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) along with a fully equipped medical team to HAMS Hospital Kathmandu. We would like to thank Dr. Ram Krishna Budhathoki who led the paramedic team with Mr. Sunil Kumar KM to successfully accomplish this mission. Till date, Simrik has airlifted 27 COVID-19 infected patients from Butwal, Lahan, Bharatpur, Biratnagar, Palpa, Birtamod, Jumla, Dharan, Pokhara, Bhadrapur, Dhangadhi, Birgunj, Okhaldhunga and Gaighat in its helicopter with pre-hospital care.
