Simrik Air Helicopter crew and an emergency medical team from Bhaktapur International Hospital evacuated a critically ill COVID-19-infected patient from Phaplu to Kathmandu today. Simrik Air's H125 Airbus Helicopter, call sign 9N-AKD, commanded by Capt. Rajendra Duwal, flew from Kathmandu to airlift the patient from Phaplu Hospital to Shree Birendra Hospital Chhauni in Kathmandu. We would like to thank the In-Flight Medical Team from Bhaktapur International Hospital, which included Dr. Anil Patel and paramedic Mr. Manish Magar, for providing critical emergency medical care to the patient on board while following to all safety measures. Till date, Simrik Air has successfully evacuated 255 Covid patients to and from various locations in Nepal in its helicopter with a fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital treatment.
