Today, Simrik Air Helicopter successfully airlifted a critically ill COVID-19 infected patient from Western Regional Hospital (Gandaki Hospital) Pokhara to Mediciti Hospital Kathmandu.
Simrik Air's helicopter having a call sign 9N-AKD with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Surendra Paudel with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) along with a fully equipped medical team flew for this mission.
We would like to thank Dr. Vijay Chaudhary who led the paramedic team with Mr. Eka Dev (Ramesh) Neupane from Mediciti Hospital Kathmandu for being on board to transfer the COVID-19 positive patient in ventilator converting the aircraft as an air ambulance helicopter.
Till date, Simrik has airlifted 85 COVID-19 infected patients from Butwal, Lahan, Bharatpur, Biratnagar, Palpa, Birtamod, Jumla, Dharan, Pokhara, Bhadrapur, Dhangadhi, Birgunj, Okhaldhunga, Gaighat, Sauraha (Chitwan), Yalbang (Humla), Janakpur and Arghakhanchi in its helicopter with pre-hospital care.
