Simrik Air Helicopter has started to provide its service from Surkhet base station. Numerous rescue, cargo / sling and passenger flights have been conducted by Simrik Air commencing its operation from Surkhet base. During both waves of pandemic, we received maximum inquiries from west zone and far-west zone Nepal for various helicopter charters. Simrik Air Helicopter provided maximum transportation service to and from west zone and far-west zone for COVID transfers, emergency rescues and transporting women with pregnancy related complications to better medical facility. However, the service couldn't be prompt and reasonable due to unavailability of helicopter at west and far-west Nepal as the helicopter had to fly from Kathmandu base and it was time consuming. In order to address the problem, Simrik Air has now based one of its helicopters at Surkhet with its own station, so that the locals in need receive on time and cost-effective service as and when required. We are standby at Surkhet base station for any types of helicopter service related to charter, emergency rescue / COVID transfers, sling load transportations and others.
