Simrik Air Helicopter, once again delivered an impeccable service when deployed for a fire-fighting mission to extinguish a massive fire outbreak at Balaju Industrial area today. Simrik Air Helicopter having call sign 9N-AJZ with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Siddartha J. Gurung and the experienced crew flew to Balaju area for the fire-fighting mission, equipped with "Bambi Bucket" – a specialized bucket suspended on a cable by a helicopter to deliver water for aerial fire-fighting. Simrik Air used water from Balaju Machhapokhari to deliver water by Bambi Bucket 04 to 05 times. However, owing to the lesser water level that couldn't fill the bucket in full volume from Machhapokhari; with the suggestion of Nepal Army, water from Rani Pokhari, Jamal was used to fill the Bambi Bucket 03 times to control the fire. After the fire that started at 02:00 AM today at the Nebico Biscuit Factory inside the industrial estate got out of control, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, APF, a number of fire brigade machines & water tanks and Helicopters were being used to control the fire.
