Nepal APF Hospital, Kathmandu received a critically ill COVID-19 positive patient safely transferred from Dharan to Kathmandu by Simrik Air Helicopter today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ANB with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Surendra Paudel flew with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to airlift the patient from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, to Nepal APF Hospital, Balambu, Kathmandu. We would like to thank the In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Abhishek Deo and Paramedic Mr. Manish Magar from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air while transporting the patient to the designated hospital in Kathmandu. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 225 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
