Humla to Kathmandu COVID-19 patient transfer was successfully conducted by Simrik Air Helicopter along with the in-flight medical team from Bhaktpur International Hospital today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ALP with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Bimal Sharma Sapkota flew to Simikot of Humla district with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to transfer the patient to Nepal APF Hospital, Balambu, Kathmandu. We are grateful to In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Abhishek Deo and Paramedic Ms. Anisha Kilambu from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air and safely transferring the patient to the designated hospital in Kathmandu. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 215 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
