HAMS Hospital Kathmandu received a critically ill COVID-19 infected patient from Manang to Kathmandu airlifted by Simrik Air Helicopter today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ALP with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Hareram Thapa flew to Manang Gaun Health Post along with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to safely evacuate the patient to HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu. We are very much grateful to the In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Nishant Dhakal and Paramedic Mr. Bali Jung Shahi from HAMS Hospital for providing the patient with the critical emergency care on air. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 225 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
