Grande International Hospital received a seriously ill COVID-19 positive patient from Manebhanjyang, Khandbari Isolation Center airlifted by Simrik Air Helicopter today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ANB with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Surendra Paudel flew to Manebhanjyang with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to receive the patient. We would like to thank In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Riyaz Khan and Paramedic Ms. Kalpana Gurung from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air and safely transferring the patient to the TIA Domestic Terminal from where the patient was later transported by ambulance to Grande International Hospital. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 200 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
