Grande International Hospital, Kathmandu received a gravely ill COVID-19 infected patient evacuated by Simrik Air Helicopter from Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ALP with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Surendra Paudel flew to Pokhara with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to airlift the patient to the designated hospital in Kathmandu. We are thankful to the In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Rajiv Thapaliya and Staff Nurse Ms. Priya Ramdali Magar from Grande International Hospital for taking care of the patient and providing her with required emergency medical assistance on air. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 240 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
