Today, Simrik Air Helicopter airlifted a COVID-19 infected patient from Bahrabigha, Janakpur-Province 2. The patient was admitted at Janakpur Zonal Hospital when he reportedly needed an emergency transfer to Kathmandu for further treatment. The patient was evacuated in Simrik Air's helicopter having a call sign 9N-AJZ with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Hareram Thapa with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) along with a fully equipped medical team. In order to maintain the safety protocol, the helicopter landed at Bahrabigha ground and airlifted the patient to HAMS Hospital Kathmandu. We would like to thank Dr. Ram Krishna Budhathoki who led the paramedic team with Mr. Saroj Chaudhary along with Simrik's crew members for successfully completing the rescue mission with utmost safety and care. Till date, Simrik has airlifted 45 COVID-19 infected patients from Butwal, Lahan, Bharatpur, Biratnagar, Palpa, Birtamod, Jumla, Dharan, Pokhara, Bhadrapur, Dhangadhi, Birgunj, Okhaldhunga, Gaighat, Sauraha (Chitwan), Yalbang (Humla) and Janakpur in its helicopter with pre-hospital care.
