A Simrik Air Helicopter crew and an emergency medical team from Nepal Mediciti Hospital airlifted a severely ill COVID-19 infected patient from Biratnagar to Kathmandu today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter, call sign 9N-ANB, commanded by Capt. Bimal Sharma Sapkota, fully equipped with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and a fully prepared medical team, flew from Kathmandu to transport the patient from Biratnagar to Nepal Mediciti Hospital in Kathmandu. We would like to thank the In-Flight Medical Team, which comprised Dr. Bijay Chaudhary and Paramedic Mr. Ramesh Neupane from Nepal Mediciti Hospital, for providing essential emergency medical treatment to the patient on board while adhering to all safety procedures. Till date, Simrik Air has rescued over 250 COVID-19 infected patients to and from all over Nepal in its helicopter with a fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital treatment. Photo Courtesy: Capt.
