Despite challenging weather condition, experienced crew of Simrik Air Helicopter along with emergency medical team from Grande International Hospital safely transported a critically ill COVID-19 infected patient from Gonger to Kathmandu today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-AJZ commanded by Capt. Kushal Gurung fitted with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team flew to Gonger (Dolakha) to airlift the patient in home isolation to Grande International Hospital Kathmandu. We are thankful to the In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Suraj Gyawali and Staff Nurse Ms. Puja Rani Devkota from Grande International Hospital for providing the patient with critical emergency care on air. Till date, Simrik Air has evacuated over 240 COVID-19 positive patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
