Bhaktapur International Hospital medical team supports Simrik Air Helicopter by providing critical emergency care on air to transport a seriously ill COVID-19 positive patient from Chainpur, Sankhuwasabha to Kathmandu today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-AKD with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Rajendra Duwal with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team airlifted the patient from Primary Health Center Chainpur, Sankhuwasabha to TIA Domestic Terminal, Kathmandu from where the patient was later transported by ambulance to Helping Hands Community Hospital. We would like to thank In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Surya Prakesh Shah and Paramedic Ms. Dristi Shrestha from Bhaktapur International Hospital for offering the emergency medical service and safely transferring the patient. The medical team from Bhaktapur International Hospital has been very supportive and cooperative and has been working hand in hand with Simrik Air in transferring the COVID positive patients since the outbreak of 2nd phase of the pandemic. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 200 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
