Back to back two critically ill COVID-19 positive patients were safely transferred today from District Hospital, Phaplu to Kathmandu by Simrik Air Helicopter amidst adverse weather condition. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ANB with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Rajendra Duwal flew to Phaplu (Solukhumbu) with PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to transfer two patients, consecutively to TU Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu. We are thankful to In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Abhishek Deo and Paramedic Ms. Dristi Shrestha from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air and transporting the patients to the designated hospital in Kathmandu. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 220 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
