Simrik Air Helicopter with the in-flight medical team from Bhaktapur International Hospital airlifted another critically ill COVID-19 positive patient today from Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital, Bharatpur to Birendra Army Hospital, Chhauni, Kathmandu. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ANB with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Hareram Thapa flew to Bharatpur with a specially designed PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to transfer the patient to the designated hospital in Kathmandu. We are grateful to In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Ranju Tamrakar and Paramedic Mr. Manish Magar from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air and safely transferring the patient. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 215 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
