Bhaktapur International Hospital medical team supports Simrik Air Helicopter by providing critical emergency care on air to transport another seriously ill COVID-19 positive patient from Okhaldhunga Mission Hospital, Okhaldhunga to Nepal APF Hospital, Balambu today. Simrik Air’s H125 Airbus Helicopter having call sign 9N-ALP with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Rajendra Duwal flew to Okhaldhunga with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and fully equipped medical team to receive the patient. We would like to thank In-Flight Medical Team Dr. Injmamul Haque Raque and Paramedic Ms. Kalpana Gurung from Bhaktapur International Hospital for providing critical emergency care on air and safely transferring the patient to the hospital. The medical team from Bhaktapur International Hospital has been very supportive and cooperative and has been working hand in hand with Simrik Air in transferring the COVID positive patients since the outbreak of 2nd phase of the pandemic. Till date, Simrik has airlifted over 210 COVID-19 infected patients to and from different places all over Nepal in its helicopter with fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital care.
