Mt. Everest, located in the eastern part of Nepal, comprises some of the worlds tallest peaks; consisting of three peaks above 8000 m. range: Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,210 m) and the worlds highest peak, Mt. Everest (8,848 m). Similarly, there are other relatively small peaks surrounding them: Pumori (7,561 m), Mt. Amadablam (6,856 m), Mera peak (6,654 m), Cholatse (6,440 m), Lobuche (6,119 m), Island peak (6,173 m), and Kwangde (6,011 m).
