A critically ill patient suffering from bilateral pneumonia (Post Covid) was safely rescued from Pokhara to Dharan today by a Simrik Air Helicopter team and an emergency medical team from Bhaktapur International Hospital. Simrik Air's H125 Airbus Helicopter, call sign 9N-AJZ commanded by Capt. Hareram Thapa with fully prepared medical team, flew from Kathmandu to transport the patient from Charak Memorial Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Pokhara to B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan. The patient was in his sixth week of suffering from Bilateral Severe Pneumonia (Post Covid CT score 23/25) and Hypertension with Type 2 Diabetes (uncontrolled).The patient was in CPAP/BiPAP for the last 1 week. We would like to express our gratitude to the In-Flight Medical Team, which included Dr. Injamamul Haque Raque and Dr. Anil Patel from Bhaktapur International Hospital, for providing critical emergency medical care to the patient on air, taking heed to all safety precautions.
