A critically ill 80-year-old cardiac patient was safely evacuated from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu today by a Simrik Air Helicopter team and an emergency medical team from Bhaktapur International Hospital. Simrik Air's H125 Airbus Helicopter, call sign 9N-AJZ, transported the patient from Universal College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital Bhairahawa to Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, Kathmandu, with Pilot-In-Command Capt. Rajendra Duwal and a fully prepared medical team. For three days, the patient had been having trouble breathing. An ECG was performed, which revealed a block in the left bundle branch. The patient developed pneumonia in both lungs, which caused breathing difficulties. The patient also experienced right heart failure, and the medical team evacuated him safely to the designated hospital in Kathmandu by following all procedures. We would like to express our gratitude to the In-Flight Medical Team, which included Dr. Abhishek Deo and Dr. Anil Patel from Bhaktapur International Hospital, for providing critical emergency medical care to the patient while in the air, while adhering to all safety precautions.
