Today, an experienced medical team from Nepal Mediciti Hospital transported a severely ill COVID-19 infected patient from Butwal to Kathmandu by Simrik Air Helicopter. Simrik Air's H125 Airbus Helicopter 9N-AJZ, commanded by Capt. Bimal Sharma Sapkota and equipped with a PIU (Patient Isolation Unit) and a fully prepared medical team, flew to Butwal to transfer the patient from Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal to Nepal Mediciti Hospital in Kathmandu. We are grateful to Dr. Bijay Chaudhary of Nepal Mediciti Hospital and Paramedic Mr. Ramesh Neupane of Nepal Mediciti Hospital for delivering essential emergency care on board. Till date, Simrik Air has evacuated 248 COVID-19 infected patients to and from various locations in Nepal in its helicopter with a fully equipped medical team and pre-hospital treatment.
