Message from the Chairman

Since its founding in 2001 Simrik Air has grown into one of the leading and safest helicopter companies in Nepal.

Safety is Simrik’s primary concern, which is why we continuously strive to raise flight safety standards by adhering to the safety policies of CAAN as well as to ICAO’s safety initiatives. The goal is to improve safety and efficiency in all areas of air transport.

At Simrik, we are committed to offering our customers a world-class flying experience, to ensuring their safe landing and giving our crew a safe work environment.

Simrik wholeheartedly follows the Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality standards of the Nepalese helicopter industry and is, therefore, the most preferred helicopter company in Nepal. It is because of its dedication to safety, quality and customer service that this company has received national and international accreditations.

Over the years, with the addition of new aircraft, we have grown stronger in high-altitude long-line search, rescue and recovery missions, sling operations, adventure flights, pilgrim flights, among other flights. This is evident in the number of successful high-altitude long-line rescue and recovery missions, external cargo sling operations for developmental projects, Gosaikunda and Pathivara holy flights, and successful Annapurna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp Sightseeing flights.

Simrik Air has also begun to provide aerial firefighting services with the Bambi Bucket, a specialized bucket hanging on a cable carried by a helicopter to provide water for aerial firefighting. Simrik therefore assisted in the extinguishment of fires in the Pathivara, Shivapuri National Park, and Balaju Industrial Areas during the huge fire breakout.

Since late 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic posed a threat to the everyday life of people globally. Travelers were particularly affected, as were people working in tourism where Nepal couldn’t remain an exception as a consequence the Tourism in Nepal remained shut for quite sometime.

Amidst the global pandemic, I am pleased to announce that Simrik Air initiated and started providing an exclusive air ambulance service for COVID-19 positive patients. However, with the decline in the cases, the situation has now started to become normal and tourism has started to flourish in Nepal which is a good sign for every one related to tourism industry.

I finally would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our Flight crew, Ground crew and Medical crew for successfully handling and accomplishing every mission including normal charter, sling cargo lifting, fire-fighting, rescue/medevac and not to forget airlifting COVID-19 patients from different parts of Nepal, following all the safety measures and protocols.
